That is in sharp contrast to Pope Francis's earlier statement, which said:

Me, I'm still housing challenged and still facing strange reaction from people when I apply to join a group, rent an apartment - even when I try to sign on as a volunteer, emailing groups I want to the address in the paper saying they need volunteers. 

I get no response
no email returned
no phone call returned

What Could Have Happened is
In each case the contact could Google my name and immediately find this blog. If they are Catholic, as in volunteer places at least one of the board members is a Catholic, a politically connected one, the priest will tell you "don't hire her" or "Don't let her volunteer" on orders from someone. Okay that starts to sound paranoid. Point is it's eerie that I get not just turned down for things, and the person in contact doesn't just end all contact, they don't return emails and my calls go to voicemails to which they never reply.
It could be bk I'm old.  Hmm, going to write that story today about the first guy who turned me down for an apt in Tahoe, will post it here at CofA 7 Boulevard today (it's up there now).

Still ain't got my settlement check from case that supposedly settled in September, the Church got Medicare and other arms of the government to join them in harassing me instead.

(Wow, just as I typed that meme of mine, I realized the city of angels is not even in L.A. anymore, let alone everywhere, I may not believe it anymore  the way things are going on this planet. not sure it's left on the planet anymore.  (Link is to my other blog CofA Pundit)
