Molestation at age five caused trauma, sure. Realizing Catholic bishops knew priests were pedophiles, and let it happen, added to my PTSD. Dealing with Archdiocese defense attorneys was astoundingly awful. But today my neighbors believe "letter from bishop to parishioners" instead of news media and published legal documents about these crimes, arguing with me that the accusers are just a bunch of anti-Catholic agitators. And that is immeasurably horrible.
