Tom McCarthy quotes SNAP in the news and I lose interest in Spotlight the movie. Why bother, when everything you do will get damage controlled away.
Update Oct. 30, 2015, So Predictable. Almost every story now about the film that mentions survivors quotes Clohessy when I bet a lot of people would rather hear from the Boston victims. SNAP always steps in and takes the microphone, preventing anyone else from being heard unless SNAP selects them. Hello! That's called Damage Control. No one chose SNAP to run the movement, they just are always there, no matter where the story breaks, there is Clohessy or Blaine taking center stage, telling the world all the great things SNAP does for survivors and reporters write it down as truth. SNAP does not do anything for survivors except show up at news events and prevent other victims from having a voice. Is there a real journalist out there ANYWHERE who will write this story and expose this scam, this counter intelligence conducted by the Catholic Church as yet another way to screw the pedophile priest victims? Anyone?
UPDATE November 14, 2015: SNAP had Two Years to prepare for the release of Spotlight. So what are they doing? Blaine is "retweeting" reviews of Spotlight. Last week they announced a petition to the Pope asking him to change and sent an email encouraging people to go see the film. That's it. No use of the SNAP branches in cities all over the country, no activism that involves the "thousands" of SNAP members. If Anyone Still Believes this organization is working for survivors, please stop living in denial of the lengths to which the Church will go to keep the truth of these crimes hidden. So survivors get YET ANOTHER missed opportunity by the group that sucked up the contact information in every city, so no one else could organize anything. If you wonder why it seems as if nothing happened last twenty years and the church was not affected by the pedophile priest crimes, look no farther.

Going to hold you to this, Francis

In the last week of papal news, when it
got to the topic of pedophile priests, everyone seemed to repeat that the
bishops should be removed from office and the pervert priests should be in prison.
I think it's the other way around.
The priests should have been taken out of
office and the bishops should be in prison. Pedophile priests were sick men who should not have had access to children once it became obvious
what they were doing with the children. Pedophilia is a sickness.
Bishops committed serial felonies when they repeated the same pattern of transferring priests, paying off victims to be silent, and covering up the crimes in almost every city in the United States. There has to have been some kind of collusion from the beginning, at the top, or the same pattern of coverup would not have happened in almost every archdiocese in the United States.
Transferring the pervert priests to another location
where they could continue to predate until they got caught again is a pattern of felonies on a federal level committed by the bishops. Yet I don't remember hearing any of our spokespersons
mention that critical part of the decades long crime epidemic in the ubiquitous coverage
of the Pope last week, although I have to admit, I did not see all of it.
So I wish reporters would ask tougher questions,
dig deeper than a paid spokesperson for the story. Stop focusing on the pedophile
priests, they're not the bad guys here. It's
the bishops who aided and abetted and covered up the crimes, using every means possible
and all you have to do is look at what happened in my life to see just how far
they will go to keep just one little old lady blogging from a slum SRO in Tahoe from exposing them.
The perp priests are not on their own
capable of the massive crimes that happened on a national and apparently international
level in the Roman Catholic Church in the way they apparently let the priests
have sex with children. In pursuit of
justice, focusing on the sick priests instead of the criminal bishops who kept
them in neighborhood churches with access to children is going in the wrong direction.
The sound byte should be: Prosecute the
bishops on a federal level.
Federal indictments probably would have happened in 2010 if Eric Holder
hadn’t been the Attorney General (how soon we forget). If the federal government can investigate these crimes in Australia and Ireland, why can't they do it here.

never mentioned that Bishop Accountability already has a website that lists Four Thousand pedophile priests in alphabetical order, with links to every news story about them. Which is

Anyone else notice?
In same speech where Pope thanked the U.S. bishops for how they handled the pedophile priest crisis, he lionized the founder of Catholic Worker, the organization Barbara Blaine worked for when she started SNAP, anyone else notice? Weird connections between SNAP and the Church at a very high level like these documents at CofA 8 just never stop. I fist linked those docs at this story about my experience with SNAP written in 2011 and I really just want to go swimming now. Wish an objective journalist would investigate what was really done to the pedophile priest victims through the counter-intelligence group set up by U.S. bishops known as SNAP, so that I could retire.

What Pope Says versus my real experience as pedophile priest crime victim
While Pope speaks, his lawyers are attacking me
The Pope said just now to Congress, we should be concerned about those "trapped in a cycle of poverty" and I wonder, what about this pedophile priest victim / blogger. I lost every job I had due to my sexual dysfunction and now am in such a frightening trap of poverty that I'm praying for a terminal illness as I don't know how I'm going to live to old age on a six hundred dollar a month pension.

The Chicago Archdiocese has dragged out my civil lawsuit for years, offering me a settlement then reneging on it, actually twice now, money they dangle in front of me making me think they will help lift me out of the poverty that was a direct result of their negligence
in leaving Father Horne in office after he raped my older sister.
They are using the opening of a possible settlement as a way to get my lawyers to call me and ask harassing questions. Then they are never forthcoming with a settlemetn.
Instead while the Pope addresses Congress, the Chicago
Archdiocese is THIS WEEK using hardball tactics to harass me even while
admitting the crimes happened and that I deserve a settlement. They are using the opening of a possible settlement as a way to get my lawyers to call me and ask harassing questions. Then they are never forthcoming with a settlemetn.
The Chicago Archdiocese is harassing me and trying to defeat my spirit as a pedophile priest victim at exactly the same time the Pope is addressing Congress about the plight of the elderly and poor.
PS: Plus since this blog is on the web for life, I am now unemployable.

Cops: Ex-priest charged in child sex case
NEW YORK News 12 CARMEL - A former Westchester priest has been arrested for having sexual relations with a young child, according to police. Cops say Joseph Faraone, 68, assaulted a child who may have had a mental disability. Faraone spent time at the Church of St. Patrick in Yorktown and St. Francis of Assisi in Mount Kisco.
